Covid-19 and your Ski Holiday to Austria


How much is the deposit on your holidays and is this refundable?

To book, we require a deposit of £150 per person plus full payment for flights when booking flights via Snowscape.  The balance is due 10 weeks before travel.


What if we cannot travel due to ongoing travel restrictions?

At the time of travel or in the weeks leading up to departure, if the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) advise against all but essential travel to a country due to cases of COVID-19 or travel restrictions remain in place in the UK or in Austria, we will offer to re-book, offer a credit note or refund your holiday.

What happens if I cannot travel due to contracting COVID-19 or having to self-isolate?

If you have to cancel your holiday at this point, we will not be able to offer a refund as we have liabilities with our suppliers. Travel Insurance companies offer cover against this scenario and you should check your policy meets your requirements. We will remain as flexible as possible in this eventuality (for example, we can look at re-booking your holiday to a later date) and can refund any ski packs pre-booked.


What are the latest travel restrictions for Austria?

Vaccinated travellers do not need to quarantine on arrival in Austria. Check the FCDO website for latest travel advice -

From 4th October 2021, Austria (and Germany, if transiting through Munich Airport) are on the UK Government’s 'non-RED'. Returning travellers will no longer be required to test before return to UK and day 2 PCR tests look set to be replaced by Antigen Tests.

Will I need to self-isolate on arrival to or return from Austria?

No, Austria is currently (30/9/21) on the GREEN list and from the 4th October will be deemed a safe / non-Red country.


What measures are in place for Hotels?

Austrian Hotels follow strict Covid-19 Guidelines with regard to cleaning, contact points, sanitization stations and social distancing. We will update on local regulations closer to departure and you can read the latest on Austria's Safety Winter 21/22 Guidelines here.

Will you provide COVID-19 guidelines for Hotels & Ski Resorts in Austria?

We continue to monitor how our Austrian Partners are dealing with COVID-19 and any guidelines will be updated on our website and in your travel information before you travel.

What if I contract Covid-19 whilst in resort?

If you show symptoms or test positive in resort, you will need to self-isolate. Contact the Health Authorities for further instructions by calling 1450 in Austria.


What is the latest with regard to Covid-19 and Travel Insurance?

It is a condition of booking that you and all members of your party have adequate Winter Sports Travel Insurance in place. Most Travel Insurance providers (Travel Extras, Allianz Assist, MPI Brokers) now offer cover against COVID-19 related cancellation and medical or self-isolation costs. Please check any insurance policy meets your requirements.
