Snow Report - Austria : 5th February

Austria Ski Resort Snow Conditions

It is dumping it down with snow today (5th February) across Austria with heavy snow falling in to the valleys after an unseasonably warm spell last weekend. Over a metre is expected on upper slopes which will set things up brilliantly for the busy school holiday period in February.

Heavy winds and high winds are affecting lift operation today however, sunshine is expected over the next few days when we are expecting some of the best conditions of this Winter Season!

If you are heading off-piste to enjoy the latest snow conditions, check local avalanche conditions, take a guide if you are unsure and stay safe. Avalanche levels are currently 3 (Significant) from 5 (and 4 in some places). Heavy snow + wind = danger!

FORECAST

After a relatively dry January, it has been great to see the heavy snowfall and cold temperatures of the last couple of days which has delivered some serious snow-depths and finally filled up the off-piste. Today’s storm should peter out and give way to sunshine and cold temperatures across Austria from 6th February. There is some more snow expected at the start of next week and temperatures are remaining cold.

Conditions as we approach Half Term could not be better and are now looking good until April.
