The ‘Haus in der Sonne’ is a traditional Austrian Pension (B&B Guesthouse) which is situated approximately 300 metres (5 minutes walk) from the resort centre. The free ski bus stops right outside the Pension and takes just four minutes to Fieberbrunn’s main lifts and slopes. Our Ski hire Partner stores are right next to the slopes and offer 24/7 locker / depot facilities. The resort’s swimming and sauna complex is just 100 metres away.
Features
This traditional Austrian Pension has a reception, ski room, lounge with tea bar area and a spacious breakfast room with a bright and welcoming feel. There are luggage storage facilities and a shower room on the ground floor – ideal for late checkouts and skiing on your last day in resort.Free WiFi, complementary tea bar.
Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 2.80 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable in cash locally.
Rooms
Most rooms are Double / Austrian/Continental Twin rooms with a couple of singles, one triple and one quad family room available. Austrian Twin beds consist of two single mattresses within one bedframe with separate bedding.
Most rooms have a balcony and are large, individually and pleasantly furnished with en-suite facilities (WC, Bath/Shower) and TV.
Meals
Accommodation is on a bed and extended continental buffet breakfast basis.
Fieberbrunn offers a wide choice of restaurants both traditional and international and eating out is excellent value. Most restaurants are in or close to the resort centre which is around 5 minutes walk from the Pension Sonne, the nearest restaurant is just 100 metres away.
Our opinion
The Pension ‘Haus in der Sonne’ has been part of our Winter programme since 1999 and continues to be a very popular bed and breakfast option offering excellent value for money and comfortable rooms in a good location.
Renovations and refurbishment have been very well received as reflected in the excellent feedback comments and scores and the personal service remains as friendly as ever. Please note that Austrian Pensions are not officially categorised and the 3* rating is our own rating.
