Location

The medieval Schloss-Hotel (Castle Hotel) Rosenegg is located in Rosenegg - a ‘village within the village resort of Fieberbrunn’. Rosenegg has its own bars, restaurants and shops and is approximately one kilometre from the centre of Fieberbrunn.

The nearest ski bus stop is just 50 metres from the Hotel and the free ski bus (0830 – 1800 daily) takes just five minutes to the main Fieberbrunn slopes. Our ski hire shop at the bottom of the slopes offers 24/7 ski depot / locker facilities.

Features

The Castle was originally built in 1187 and is full of medieval charm and magic with huge walls and hidden recesses. Napoleon once stayed here and the hotel retains its centuries old unique charm whilst meeting the requirements of a modern, quality 4* Hotel.

The hotel features a reception hall, two medieval styled dining rooms, hotel bar, conference rooms and underground parking. Free WiFi is available in the lobby area.

Wellness facilities include a large indoor swimming pool (not supervised, suitable for swimmers), steam room, sauna, pine sauna and quiet room. The pool is open 7am-8pm and the sauna areas (16 years + only) are open 4-8pm. Massages and a solarium are available subject to a local charge.

Please note that the local tourist tax of EURO 2.50 per person (aged over 15) per night is not included in our rates and is payable locally.

Major credit cards are accepted. Please note that the hotel is non-smoking.

Rooms

The Hotel offers standard Doubhle / Austrian Twin rooms, 2-3 bedded rooms (Austrian Twin bed plus third/sofa bed) and larger, 2-4 bedded superior rooms (Austrian Twin bed plus third/sofa bed). Reductions apply for the third / fourth person in a room. All rooms are ensuite with shower/bath, WC, telephone, TV and safe, most with balcony or terrace.

Rooms are unique in their layout and style and are individually and traditionally decorated in keeping with the building’s castle heritage. Single rooms and larger family apartments are also available on request. Bathrobes and slippers are available for a small local charge. All rooms are non-smoking.

Meals

Accommodation is on a half board basis including a buffet breakfast and salad buffet and either a three course evening meal (choice of main course - except arrival day) or themed buffet program which varies weekly. A welcome drink and complementary afternoon snack or cake (3.30 – 5pm) are also included.

Christmas and New Year Festive Dinners are included.

Our opinion

The Schloss Hotel Rosenegg is full of history and character and offers outstanding value for money with all the benefits of a 4* Hotel.

Flexible stays are more than welcome throughout most of the winter season making this a great choice for a short break or ski weekend.

Whilst not a ski in, ski out hotel, the ski bus stop is less than 100 metres from the hotel and takes less than 5 minutes to the main lift station where ski depot facilities are available at our ski hire shop.

Please note that the Hotel is not officially categorised and the 4* rating is our rating based on its last Austrian Hotel rating and facilities and standards consistent with 4* Hotels in Austria.

“Overall, an excellent holiday - hotel was especially nice with good range of vegetarian food too and afternoon cake was great!”

“Resort is great and the hotel was fantastic! Nothing what I expected so it was a great surprise”.

“The hotel was an absolute highlight, and breakfast one of the best ever. I would happily recommend both the resort (if not the biggest, then certainly the prettiest) and Snowscape to friends looking for that special something rather than the usual run of the mill alpine ski resort”

“Another fantastic holiday, we will definitely book again next year”
